Theo F. Oliphant

Managing Member — Starbright Series Management Group LLC

Theo F. Oliphant is a serial entrepreneur, media executive, and pre-IPO investor with over three decades of experience at the intersection of business, culture, and technology.

As Co-Managing Partner, Theo leads the firm's investment strategy and investor relations, drawing on a track record that includes two pre-IPO rounds in Facebook prior to its 2012 IPO and a secured equity position in SpaceX through Starbright Venture Partners.

Mr. Theo Oliphant serves as Managing Partner of the Managing Member. Oliphant was previously a partner in the Corporate & Securities Group at the international law firm of DLA Piper prior to leaving that firm to pursue various entrepreneurial ventures. Theo has a law degree from University of California Berkeley, and obtained his undergraduate degree at University of California Irvine in Social Ecology.

Ivan K. Hopkins

Managing Member — Starbright Series Management Group LLC

Ivan K. Hopkins co-leads Starbright’s investment strategy, capital formation, and portfolio execution as Co-Managing Partner and Head of Capital Strategy & Investor Relations. In this role, he directs underwriting discipline, investor relations, and the analytical frameworks the firm applies to late-stage pre-IPO investment decisions. Hopkins brings nearly three decades of institutional finance experience to the platform, drawing on deep expertise in M&A, private equity, capital markets, and impact investing to assess, structure, and execute each investment.

Mr. Ivan Hopkins brings nearly three decades of institutional finance experience to the Starbright platform. He began his career at Merrill Lynch, and subsequently held senior roles at Wasserstein Perella, Goldman Sachs in London, and Black Enterprise/Greenwich Street, a middle market private equity fund, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Ivan holds a B.B.A. in Finance, magna cum laude, from Howard University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
